Our Goal is to purchase a Steinway Model D
Any pianist, no matter how talented, requires an instrument that would allow the artist to realize his or her artistic vision.
After more than 25 years of presenting great performances of timeless music, we feel that it is time for our society to have our own Steinway & Sons Concert Grand Piano, the overwhelming choice of the world’s greatest pianists. The piano would be kept in its “home” at the Vancouver Playhouse and owning the piano would allow us to have total responsibility for the care and maintenance of the piano, to ensure that every artist who comes to perform in Vancouver would have the best instrument under his or her disposal for our audiences to enjoy.
